How to Use Printable Shrink Film:

Printing & Cutting

• Print on the frosted side of the film and allow the ink to dry for a few minutes.
• Note: Designs should be printed approximately 50% larger than the desired finished size.
• Cut out your design using a desktop plotter, die-cut machine, craft punch, or regular/decorative scissors before baking.

Baking Method

• Preheat oven to 266–302 °F (130–150 °C).
• Place your design on a sheet lined with a Teflon sheet, parchment paper, or vellum. (Do not bake directly on bare metal or stoneware.)
• Cover with parchment or vellum to prevent the film from sticking to itself during baking.
• Bake for 2–3 minutes. For best results, test temperature and time with a scrap piece.
• Flatten if needed — if slight curling occurs, press down gently with a spatula or smooth, flat item (e.g., the bottom of a glass) after baking. (Allow to cool before handling.)

Heat Gun Method

• Place your design on a heat-resistant surface lined with a Teflon sheet, silicone mat, parchment paper, or vellum. (Do not use directly on bare metal, stoneware, or plastics.)
• Heat by holding the heat gun approximately 1 cm from the surface, moving evenly across the entire design. You will see the edges begin to lift as the film shrinks.
• Guide the edges — using light pressure and a tool such as a modelling ball tool, toothpick, or the back of a weeding tool, hold the item down and guide any lifting edges to prevent folding or sticking to itself.
• Repeat steps 2 and 3 until shrinking has stopped.
• Flatten if needed — if slight curling occurs, press down gently with a spatula or smooth, flat item (e.g., the bottom of a glass) after heating. (Allow to cool before handling.)
